Is it better to buy an ipad 2 from the apple store or from best buy?

I am about to buy an ipad 2 but is it better to buy an ipad 2 from the apple store or best buy because best buy has the buy it back program and therefore when the ipad 3 comes out I will be able to get it then but if I get it from the apple store do I get any special kind of warranty or anything?

Definitely get the ipad 2!

It's an unbelievably cool product! I've had it for a week now, and it has exceeded my expectations in every area but one. It is such a pleasurable experience to hold it and interact with the machine. It is a very intuitive, tactile, and personal interaction with the web.

Having a touch screen to interact with the web is a very different experience than using a mouse.
It is NOT supposed to be a netbook, so reviews which compare what it doesn't have, miss the point.
This is a whole new computing device to accomplish perhaps 80% of what most people use computers for for all the basic uses (email, web surfing, music, movies (the Netflix app rocks!), games, ebook, magazine reading (Zinio is great), and the news (the USA Today app is a joy to use) it is great.

I have already been finding myself on my laptop much less often than before.

The iWork apps are a pleasure to use. The one area that seems to be more convoluted than it should be, is printing. You can't print directly from it. You have to either email it to yourself, or transfer the file over when you sync with iTunes. But it looks like the 4.0 version of the operating system is going to provide a lot of fixes which people are looking for.

A few years from now, tablets like this will be everywhere and those who are on computers are mainly using them for work. I knew the ipad 2 would be a big hit when my 70 old mother, after seeing mine, decided she was going to get one too!

As for buying them, your best bet for the cheapest price is off eBay where i've seen them for $170 shipped or on Amazon.com ... click Any link on this page to get to Amazon.com

I went to Best Buy in SanFrancisco on March 14 (Monday) and put my name on the iPad 2 waiting list for a 16GB WiFi and i was wondering if anyone had gotten theirs yet? Or knows how long its going to take?

Earlier today, I pre-ordered an iPad 2 at Best Buy, where I was told I would be called the second they receive a shipment and I make the cut.
I am #8 on the list for a black WiFi 16GB model (the cheapest one). How long do you think it will take for my iPad to arrive at the store?
My worst fear is that they'll get the same wait period as advertised on the apple website (as I'm writing this, 4-5 weeks, but that could very well get higher). Is this a possibility?

That may be possible, I did get three of them on the 12th, but then that same night I returned to the Best Buy store and they were sold out, I also purcased some from the Apple Store on the release date at 1 AM and they're going to arrive tomorrow, then I try to purchase more and the estimated shipping time changed fron 5 days to 5 weeks, that's crazy.

FYI: I always tell my customers, a laptop's battery is similar to a cell phone's. You charge it when it's depleted & you unplug the adapter when it is already fully charge (this will prevent the battery from getting overcharged & extend the life of the battery). So for less hassle, I always advice my customers to just remove the battery if they plan to use the computer for long hours straight (more than 1 hour) and just run it on AC power alone so as not to overcharge it & shorten the battery life.

I've tried to delete some photos on my iPad (1) but they will not delete. It says it can not delete photos that are not directly imported to the iPad. They will not delete on the iPad itself, and they do not even appear on iPhotos when you plug it into the computer. Only saved and directly imported photos will delete. Any answers ?

There is (as far as I know) no way of enabling the multitasking gestures on the iPad without Xcode/jailbreak. As for the jailbreak, why do you think that it is "stupid?" If you have an Internet connection on your iPad, you can jailbreak it in literally less than 15 seconds with jailbreakme.com. You don't even need a computer to do this, as the whole (short) process happens purely on your iPad.
